Erosion problems should be taken care of as soon as possible after a wildfire. The severity of the fire, soil type, how much vegetation was removed, and steepness of the slope will determine the seriousness of the erosion problem.

The best thing to do is to contact your local county Cooperative Extension, Emergency Services, or Natural Resources Conservation Service office, and ask who is available to help in your area.
