There are many online resources for establishing new forests and windbreaks, and most of them are specific to location. Because it takes some time, usually five to 10 years, for a new windbreak or forest to significantly reduce wind, you may want to consider an artificial windbreak made of fencing or other material designed for this purpose. This can be especially important to manage snow drifting across roads and driveways.
