You can start by planning how you spend your money.

A budget or spending plan can help you manage money wisely and stretch your current income to cover savings for short-, medium-, and long-term financial goals.

Start by keeping a record of where your money is going. That will help you evaluate if everything you spend is something that you need to spend and figure out where spending can be reduced.

You may also want to look at the income side of the picture. What can you do to create more income? Is it an additional job? Selling things that you no longer need?

Once you figure out what you have for income and expenses, you can use this information to create the budget or spending plan. Be sure to include some money for unexpected expenses.
