In pest management what is natural control?

Natural control is the suppression of pest populations by naturally occurring biological and environmental agents. Natural control agents include predators, parasitoids and diseases, as well as rain, drought or extreme temperatures. One of the objectives of IPM is to manage pests in concert with natural controls.
