According to the Renewable Fuels Association 2009 Ethanol Industry report , the U.S. produced 9 billion gallons of ethanol in 2008. According to the National Biodiesel Board U.S. Biodiesel Production Capacity Report, as of June 2009, annual U.S. biodiesel production capacity was 2.69 billion gallons per year.
