Can dogs get avian influenza?

Dogs can get infected with canine influenza but are usually not susceptible to avian influenza like other carnivores (such as cats, tigers, leopards, and stone martens). According to CDC, there is not enough information available about avian influenza A (H5N1) infection in dogs to know how infection would occur.
