Does hay need a "curing" time before feeding it to horses or is it OK to start feeding the hay that was baled today?

If you purchased your hay from a reputable producer, and it has been properly dried prior to baling, it should not be a problem. The hay has likely been cut for a few days and most likely cured appropriately. It is not how long the hay has been baled, which is important, but how it is handled (proper, even drying and baling) which determines its safety to feed immediately.
