Yes, the medical community is knowledgeable about the affect of common contaminants found in drinking water, such as bacteria or other harmful pathogens. People who are immuno-compromised, pregnant, undergoing dialysis or chemotherapy, or sensitive to chemicals, should check with their doctor and/or their local department of health or environment regarding drinking water quality concerns.

Testing your water regularly is a good way to determine whether water quality is likely to impact your health.
