Renewable energy is energy produced from natural energy sources such as sunlight, wind, flowing water, geothermal heat, and plant products. These sources of energy are constantly replenished by natural processes and can be used indefinitely. Non-renewable energy, in contrast, is derived from sources that can be exhausted, such as petroleum, coal, and other fossil fuels, as well as ores and minerals.
