Is a BMI of 30 considered overweight or obese?

BMI, or Body Mass Index, is a number calculated from a person's height and weight and is a fairly reliable indicator of body fatness for most people. A BMI of 30.0 or higher is considered obese. The link below contains information about BMI, how to calculate it, and what the BMI number is used for:
