If you are nervous about trimming your rabbit's toenails, ask someone to help. Then have that person help you hold the rabbit in a secure position on its back or sit with the rabbit lying on its back on your thighs. If the rabbit is nervous in this position, have your helper cover its eyes to calm it down and then place a hand gently on its abdomen. That frees you up to trim the rabbit's nails. Many rabbits will be calm in this position, making nail trimming easy. You can also try standing and holding the rabbit in your arms as you would a football, with its head under your arm. But this is often a little more difficult.
