A pinch collar can be an excellent choice for assistance when training a large or rambunctious dog. Used correctly, the pinch collar can help you safely gain control of an unruly dog. It is important, however, to take your dog to obedience classes to learn to use the collar properly and avoid injury, as well as to employ positive reinforcement in training so that you do not remain dependent on it. No type of training collar should ever be left on an unsupervised dog.
