A power of attorney designation can generally be revoked up until the time that the person creating it becomes incapacitated or dies. For example, a new person could be designated to manage the creator's financial affairs in the event of incapacity. Additional information specific to your situation may require professional advice. Please contact an attorney or other qualified legal adviser in your area. Cooperative Extension educational information should not be used as a substitute for seeking sound legal advice.
