Consuming DHA during pregnancy will help your baby grow, and it supports the development of the baby’s brain and vision. DHA may also keep you from going into labor early, before 37 weeks (which is called preterm or premature labor). Additionally, consuming DHA helps build up DHA in your breast milk. An additional benefit of consuming ample DHA is that it may protect you from depression during and after pregnancy. To learn what foods are rich in DHA click here.
