Can I take fish oil supplements when I am pregnant?

Yes. Fish oil supplements during pregnancy can provide the increased omega-3s that are recommended for pregnant women. Talk to your physician about prescribing one of the prenatal vitamins that now contain omega-3s. A supplement of 200-300 mg omega-3 DHA day should be sufficient.
