Where can I get an unsecured personal installment loan during a Chapter 13 bankruptcy?

Unsecured personal installment loans are typically provided by financial institutions such as commercial banks and credit unions. However, your Chapter 13 bankruptcy may preclude you from qualifying for a loan, particularly if you filed recently. Bankruptcies will stay on your credit report for up to 10 years. Until you have met your obligations as outlined for your Chapter 13 bankruptcy repayment, you probably will not be eligible for an unsecured personal installment loan. Check with your bankruptcy trustee or attorney for additional information related to your specific bankruptcy case.
