I believe my mother is being coerced into purchasing an overpriced condo that she has been renting. My mother thinks the price is fair, but she is unaware of the housing market and doesn't care what the value is. We feel this is happening too fast. What can we do?

It sounds as though you need to speak frankly with your mother about your feelings on this transaction. If she has her faculties, it is her decision and she may choose to accept or reject your position. If she does not have her faculties or if you feel that she is being unduly influenced, consult an attorney or Adult Protective Services in the state where she lives. Undue influence is considered a form of abuse, especially if the person lacks capacity to make a decision or does not fully understand the situation.
