Caregiving experiences may vary depending on the nature of the condition affecting the care recipient, her/his life experience, situation, etc. To say nothing of how all those variables may affect the care provider. Take a look at http://www.extension.org/pages/Caregiving_Is_Different_for_Everyone for some detailed information about how caregiving is different for everyone.

Studies involving family caregivers have identified some issues that may prove more or less challenging when trying to tackle them. Again, individual experience may vary. Some of the most time-consuming and challenging include, but are not limited to, providing emotional support, providing transportation, managing finances, bills, household tasks such as cleaning, and managing behavioral problems.

With regard to least challenging and time-consuming: providing personal care, administering treatments, communicating, running errands and planning activities.
