The course is designed for horse owners, new horse owners, experienced horse owners and trainers.The ISU Equine Forage Management Course is designed to assist producers in selecting hay for your horse, types & nutrient content of hay, visually and chemically evaluating hay, using forages to meet your horses nutrient requirements, water quality, establishing pastures, managing pastures, forage grass and legume identification, grazing management, weed control and identification, poisonous plants and in-field pasture evaluation.
