Consultants who are interested in Feed Management Planner Certification have an opportunity to prepare for and take the examination in conjunction with the Penn State Nutrition Conference. This workshop is for those who are are not yet certified. The Natural Resources Conservation Service has defined feed management as one of the 6 core elements of a Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plan that will be required of permitted Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations. The Mid-Atlantic Water Program, consisting of Penn State, Virginia Tech, and the University of Maryland, along with NRCS, is preparing the feed industry for its critical role in this process. This workshop provides a nutritionist the opportunity to become a certified feed management planner/ technical service provider (TSP).
