The American Honey Producers Association is an organization dedicated to promoting the common interest and general welfare of the American Honey Producer.

NEW CONVENTION FORMAT

The format for the convention is changed from previous years. Tuesday through Thursday will be similar to past years. The major changes will be a Friday night banquet instead of the traditional Saturday night banquet. Additionally, Saturday morning will be the General Business Meeting and Board of Directors meeting. This is a change from past conventions with Saturday morning speakers and Saturday afternoon business meetings. Basically, the convention will be done by Saturday noon to allow for Saturday afternoon travel or a chance to see California attractions on Saturday afternoon.

TRADE SHOW

The AHPA Trade Show not only has the largest display of extracting equipment of any beekeeping trade show in the US, but also will have honey and bee supply vendors from all over the world. Set up for the Trade Show will be all day Tuesday. The Trade Show will run from Wednesday morning through Friday afternoon. Tear down will be Saturday morning.

WELCOME RECEPTION

The Welcome Reception will be Tuesday evening which always is a big hit for convention attendees. The Welcome Reception is an "open house" buffet that starts at 6:30 PM. This is a great time to see all your old friends and meet new friends too. Don't miss this great event that has enough food to make a complete meal. Sponsored by many of our great vendors. Make plans now to attend the 41st Annual AHPA Convention will be in Sacramento, California, January 5-9, 2010 at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West. This Hilton has had a $5 million dollar renovation within the last 2 years. The room rates are $109/night single and $119/night for double occupancy which includes a free continental breakfast.

The Sacramento Hilton Arden West has extended the reservation cut off date to December 28. Make your reservations today to get the special convention rate. Additionally, you can still fax in the AHPA Convention Registration Form to 785-778-2004 in order to get the Pre-Convention discount until December 28. After that date, there will be nobody at the AHPA office to receive the Registration Form. Do not mail in the form since it will probably not arrive before AHPA staff leave for the convention. Faxed in AHPA Convention Registration forms need to have Credit Card numbers filled in on forms.
