This full day of equine-oriented activities is designed to give kids and teens, ages 9 -18, a hands-on look at anatomy, physiology, and veterinary care for horses. Participants will be grouped by age and will rotate throughout the school, visiting many different activity stations. Planned activities include: A tour of the large animal hospital, How to perform a physical exam on your horse (live horse activity), A look at equine anatomy in the vet school anatomy lab (skeletons, intestinal models, etc.) , How to age your horse by his teeth, Preventative medicine, Basic lameness (live horse demo), and much more.
