Description:
Learn to bring GPS data into Google Earth and Google Maps, and just as easily, put features from those maps into your GPS! This workshop builds on basic concepts from GPS Basics by providing exploring the ways in which GPS can be used in combination with Google mapping software. Learn to collect GPS data in the field, then use it to create your own custom map using Google Earth and Google My Maps. Also, discover how to take any location from Google Earth and Google My Maps and send it to your GPS receiver for use in the field.

*GPS data collection and navigation
*using GPS with Google mapping software

Participants will learn to:
*collect and upload GPS data in Google Earth and Google My Maps
*mark download points from Google Earth and Google May Maps for use in GPS
