On Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 9:00am - 3:00pm seminar participants will get a chance to learn about a variety of pasture-related topics including: grass and weed identification, weed control methods, runoff management, benefits of pasture to horses and the environment, basic elements of a pasture renovation plan, and where and how to apply for money for pasture improvements. The cost is $25 per person, includes all materials and lunch. Participants will spend part of the afternoon practicing their newly developed knowledge and skills at our Equine Rotational Grazing Demonstration Site. University of Maryland Extension and Soil Conservation Experts will be on hand to answer all of your horse pasture questions!
