Geodatabases are an excellent file format for managing and maintaining GIS data using ArcGIS 10. This workshop will cover fundamentals, tools, and techniques for creating and working with data contained in Geodatabases. The workshop is focused on intermediate to advanced users of ArcView, however, ArcEditor users will also benefit from attending.

* geodatabase formats * anatomy of geodatabases * file and personal geodatabases * new geodatabase features in ArcGIS 10

Topics covered
* create geodatabases using ArcCatalog * import shapefiles, coverages, tables and other GIS data into geodatabases * create annotation layers from labels * add domains and subtypes to help streamline GIS editing * add and manage attachments
