Kentucky Equine Research will be hosting a free webinar on Equine Metabolic Syndrome, January 25, 2011 at 1:00pm EST. Equine metabolic syndrome is a condition in which an inappropriate insulin response occurs after a horse consumes carbohydrate-rich hay or feed. Dr. Kathleen Crandell, an equine nutritionist with KER, will review the basics of equine metabolic syndrome and its relation to insulin resistance, and will give attendees tips on managing these horses.
