Description:
Solar on Farms: How Government Incentives and Grants Make it Possible, Monday, January 31st , 7:00 pm at the Putney Library.

Information about government subsidies, incentives and grants available for installing photovoltaic systems on farms in Vermont. Did you know you can get the government to pay for a percentage of the cost of your photovoltaic system? Peter Thurrell of Soveren (Southern Vermont Renewable Energy), argues that using solar energy replaces toxic fossil fuels with environmentally friendly sunlight, helps preserve a livable Earth for our children, saves money over the life of the system, and lessons dependence on increasingly rare and costly fuels. Co-sponsored by Transition Putney.
