Weeds compete with forage plants for nutrients, moisture, sunlight, and space, and lower pasture productivity. Therefore, weeds need to be watched for and controlled regularly to maintain good productivity of pastures. There are different methods of weed control; however, each method has positive and negative sides. Moreover, specific skills and knowledge are necessary to use any single method or integrated approach for effectively managing pasture weeds. This training aims at imparting the necessary skills and knowledge to livestock producers and Extension personnel for identifyint and managing pasture weeds efficiently and environmentally-friendly way.
