Description:
This workshop builds on on what we learned from Google MyMaps Basics by providing techniques for creating maps using Google tools. First, we will explore the methods available for converting spreadsheet files to KML format. KML files are the format used by Google MYMaps and Google Earth. We will also cover the use of a website that uses Google Maps API for easily creating true Mashups, allowing the development of more advanced interactive online maps. We will also learn about integrating GPS with Google mapping software, if we do not run out of time.
