Our presenter, Arlene Zavocki Stewart, AZS Consulting, Inc., specializes in energy efficient and sustainable building compliance, advocacy, certification, training, and promotion. AZS Consulting works with non-profits and government agencies to identify and fix barriers to market transformation and code implementation as well as private industry seeking to understand and develop products for the energy efficiency and green building sectors. Arlene is a member of the International Codes Council, American Architectural Manufacturers Association, Florida Public Relations Association, Building Officials Association of Florida, the National Fenestration Rating Council, USGBC, FGBC, and FMA.
She has authored or edited numerous educational publications as well as placing articles show casing high-performance housing in CNN’s Environmental News Network, The Tampa Tribune, and The Chicago Tribune. She is a columnist for Door and Window Manufacturer, and sits on the editorial board for Florida Home Builder. She is a state director of FHBA and was named FHBA’s “Energy Problem Solver,” and was recognized as a “Woman of Distinction” in 2009.
