What do the letters "VFN" associated with particular tomato varieties indicate?

VFN indicates the tomato variety is resistant to three types of diseases: Verticillium wilt, Fusarium wilt, and nematodes. Many of the new hybrid varieties are VFN types. Disease-resistant varieties are preferred in most areas of the United States.

Contact your local Cooperative Extension Service office for a list of the recommended vegetable varieties for your area.
