Trapping and removal is the best long-term solution. Use a cage or boxtrap baited with apples or carrots. If you trap the animal, you must have the permission of the property owner (governmental or privately owned) onto whose property you are relocating the animal. If you do not relocate the animal, it should be disposed of in a humane way. If you do not wish to do the trapping yourself, contact your local municipal animal control officer. They often have a list of individuals who will do the trapping for a fee.
