Are organic food products safer to eat? The USDA has no claim stating organic foods are safer or better for you than conventional products.

In fact, organically produced foods are subject to many of the same food safety issues as conventionally produced foods.

Therefore, the same food safety measures must be taken during production, selection, preparation, and consumption of organic products.
