You can taste hundreds of varieties of blueberries this weekend at an open house at the Agricultural Research Service National Clonal Germplasm Repository at 33447 Peoria Road in Corvallis, Ore. The open house on Saturday, July 16 , from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., gives visitors a chance to explore the facility’s blueberry field collection and taste hundreds of varieties of the delectable fruit. In addition to blueberries, the Corvallis gene bank maintains collections of peonies, strawberries, hazelnuts, blackberries, cranberries and pears.
