What is the best way to control fireweed (Senecio madagascariensis) in my pastures?

A number of techniques utilizing herbicides, mechanical measures, and/or grazing can control fireweed in your pastures. Some techniques are not economical over large areas and are better suited to high-density populations of limited size. Others are less efficient but also less costly and are better utilized over large areas.
