Preventing the introduction of weeds and weed seeds is the best way to protect your rangeland from noxious/invasive weeds. Avoid bringing hay, feedstuffs, or seed onto your place that is neither certified weed-free or at least from a known trustworthy source that you are sure is free of weeds. Thoroughly wash vehicles and equipment that were operated in weed-infested areas before driving on your property. Minimizing disturbance and using proper grazing management can prevent accidentally introduced weeds from becoming established. For more information, see Weed Control and Management.
