Description:
Presented in partnership with the International Life Sciences Institute North America (ILSI North America) and eXtension’s Families, Food, and Fitness community of practice.

You no doubt have heard or even participated in the ongoing debate about the use of low-calorie sweeteners.

What is the bottom line? Should we suggest that people use low-calorie sweeteners instead of sugar? What is the relationship between the use of low-calorie sweeteners and appetite and weight control? Are low-calorie sweeteners appropriate for use by children?

A group of esteemed scientists convened by the ILSI North America has examined the evidence and provides the most up-to-date answers to questions about low-calorie sweeteners use and weight. This webinar will present their findings and offer suggestions as to how you can work with families about using low-calorie sweeteners.

You do not have to register for the webinar. Go to https://connect.extension.iastate.edu/fffcop 5-10 minutes prior to the webinar and enter as a guest.

The webinar will last one hour, 11 AM EST - 12 NOON EST.
