Building on a successful technology exchange last year, Farm Pilot Project Coordination, Inc. (FPPC) will focus on nutrients and water quality by highlighting the process of taking pilot projects to commercial success.

Under this year’s theme “Prototypes to Production; Technologies to Increase Revenue from Renewable Resources,” the symposium will showcase how new technologies can efficiently reduce the environmental impact of nutrients while improving farm profitability. It will also provide participants insights into how recent technology developments can provide business opportunities to commercialize various technological strategies for the livestock industry. Presentations and panels will focus on:
-Growing challenges of managing nutrients in agriculture
-Manure: its value as a water, energy and nutrient resource
-Renewable energy – a cost savings and a farm revenue source
-Case studies - the requirements for attracting commercial investors
-Government policies to promote responsible nutrient management
