Free Webcast from eXtension: Strategies to Reduce Hay Waste when Feeding Horses

Join My Horse University and eXtension HorseQuest for a free, live webcast about reducing hay waste on Tuesday, September 27 at 7 p.m. Eastern Time.

Reducing hay waste begins with buying quality hay and storing it properly. Hay waste can also be reduced though feed management and careful selection of a feeder. Krishona Martinson, equine Extension specialist at the University of Minnesota, will discuss different feeding management practices as well as new research on hay waste and the economics of nine unique round bale feeders.

The webcast is available nationwide. It’s at 7 p.m. Eastern Time so viewers need to adjust the viewing time for Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska and Hawaii-Aleutian Time.
