15 land-grant universities using immersive 3-D environments for teaching and outreach will showcase their work at the "University Expo" during this week's 4th annual Virtual State Fair in Second Life®. Daily 12 noon to 9:00pm EDT, university faculty will share information about learning environments including topics such as Aquaculture, Financial Management, Human Anatomy, and Assistive Technology. Tours will be available. The fair also offers rides and games, live music, virtual geocaching, and educational displays. The event, free of charge and open to the public, also serves as a professional development opportunity for those in Extension curious about educational use of virtual worlds.
