Further Comments: “An animal shelter is like any typical non-profit organization. There’s always a lot of work, but an even bigger reward. You must have a huge heart to be in this field. I would advise those students that work at a vet clinic someday to always keep in mind their local animal shelter(s). Shelters need the help of their local veterinarians. Whether it be vet care, marketing, or donations, it’s really important that these agencies work together to improve the lives of animals, and therefore people.”
