The newest thinking on ruminant nutrition. Dr. Randy Shaver, University of Wisconsin, will discuss dairy cattle starch research and Dr. David Mertens, Mertens Innovation & Research, will present information on the use of a NDF in the evaluation of forage quality and formulation of dairy rations. Dr. Tom Tylutki and Lynn Gilbert fromAgricultural Modeling and Training Systems will tie this new information to ration formulation using the AMTS.Cattle.Professional program, an implementation of the Cornell Net Carbohydrate and Protein System (CNCPS).
