EAST LANSING, Mich. – Winter can be tough on some horses, depending on the age of the animal or the climate in which it lives. Sheltering, blanketing and feeding requirements and access to unfrozen water are factors to evaluate when preparing for the winter months.
Join My Horse University and eXtension HorseQuest for a free live webcast at 7 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, Nov. 29 and take the guesswork out of winter care and feeding. Dr. Carey Williams, associate professor and the equine Extension specialist at Rutgers University, will present “Winter Care and Feeding for Your Horse.” Williams will cover the key factors to consider to maintain the health and well-being of your horse throughout the winter months. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and get expert advice from Williams.
Participants can register online for the webcast at https://noncredit.msu.edu/listSections.action?catalogid=3&offeringid=644.
