The average 1,000 pound horse will produce about 55 pounds of fecal waste per day, or 0.88 cubic feet. This does not include bedding and assumes waste is evenly distributed over 24 hours. Depending upon the amount of bedding used, manure plus bedding could be about 70 pounds per day or about 2.4 cubic feet total.
