Workshops and Symposia (2-4 hours) will be scheduled Monday-Thursday. Oral presentations (20 minutes) will occur in concurrent sessions organized by topic on Wednesday and Thursday. Posters will be on display in the exhibit hall Tuesday-Thursday. View the conference website for more information.

Conference Topics
The 2012 National Water Conference will include presentations on:

  • Water Availability
  • Watershed Assessment & Restoration
  • Rural Environmental Protection
  • Developing Watersheds
  • Climate Change and Water
  • Energy and Water
  • Human Health and Water
  • Youth and Water
  • Human Dimensions of Water Management


Additionally, 150-200 posters and exhibits will highlight results on research, education, and extension programs addressing water quality and quantity issues locally, regionally, and nationally.

  • University researchers and educators who lead water quality and quantity programs
  • Extension professionals working on water quality and quantity education
  • USDA-NIFA and Sea Grant professionals who work with state water specialists
  • Federal partners including NOAA, USEPA, NRCS, USGS, and other water agencies

  • Private organizations interested in water management research and education
