Cereal grasses are tall grass like plants that produce kernels at the top of their stalks.  The kernel of cereal grass is called grain.  The grain of cereal grasses is called cereal grain.  It is grown for food, fiber, and fuel.  The cereal that you eat for breakfast is more than likely made from some type of cereal grain.

Some common cereal grains are oats, wheat, sorghum, and corn
