Are there benefits to eating seaweed?

Seaweed contains many components which can contribute to good health. These include important vitamins (A, B’s, C, D, E, and K) and minerals (calcium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorous, potassium, iron, iodine, zinc, and manganese). Seaweed also contain high levels of protein (up to 40% or more) and essential fatty acids including omega-3's.
