Aluminum Shoes

Aluminum horse shoes are lightweight shoes that are often used on show horses and racehorses because they are lighter in weight than traditional steel shoes and, therefore, result in less fatigue. They are also often used on the front feet of reining and western pleasure horses to allow the horse to keep the feet closer to the ground and have a freer, longer stride. Aluminum is also popular on the front feet of jumping horses to improve fold and decrease fatigue over fences.
