The international cotton community is highly linked through its use of technology and educational programming. Within the United States, there are many organizations that sponsor educational opportunities and events each year across the Cotton Belt. Private industry and public institutions offer courses on cotton production, processing, and marketing. Organizations like the National Cotton Council of America, Cotton Incorporated, the National Cotton Ginners Association, and the National Cotton Foundation sponsor national research projects and/or outreach events to better educate the public on issues and concerns facing the industry. Other organizations like theSouthern Cotton Growers and the Southeastern Cotton Ginners,California Association of Grower Owned Gins and the Plains Cotton Cooperative Association serve the industry on a regional or state basis. The following provides links to information on events and opportunities to learn more about the cotton industry.
