Dairy Statistics

Last Updated: October 03, 2007 | Related resource areas: Dairy

The tables in this fact sheet contain state-level information about the dairy industry. All basic values are assembled from data published by the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture or the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Some tables such as the state rank, average farm size, value of milk production, surplus/deficit, etc., are calculations from the NASS and/or BLS data.
